What to Know About Renting a Piano in the DC Area

Delivery from New York. The greater Washington, DC area is at the southern edge of our East Coast delivery corridor. Our delivery team runs the I-95 route regularly between the north Boston suburbs and Northern Virginia, as far west as Pittsburgh. Most deliveries in the DC metro area are scheduled within one to two weeks.

DC condos and rowhouses. The DC housing market is a mix of everything — Capitol Hill rowhouses with narrow staircases, high-rise condos in Rosslyn and Tysons with freight elevator rules, historic Georgetown townhouses with tight front entries, and suburban homes in Bethesda and McLean with plenty of space. Our delivery team handles all of it. When you order, we’ll ask about stairs, elevators, doorway widths, and any building requirements like a certificate of insurance (COI) or management approval.

No showroom in DC — but you don’t need one. We offer virtual tours over Zoom or FaceTime, and our New York showroom (37 West 65th Street, Manhattan) is reachable on a quick Amtrak ride from Union Station if you want to see pianos in person.

No sales tax. PianoPiano is only required to collect sales tax in New York and California.
