Most teachers we work with say the same thing: they’d rather have their student on an acoustic piano from the beginning. A real acoustic piano builds finger strength and trains the ear. It’s just better.  Renting makes having a real acoustic piano an easy and affordable reality for most families.

Our experience and that of the teachers we work with shows that when students start on a cheap instrument, they're more likely to walk away. Easy come, easy go. Rental is the opposite: a high-value, low-risk commitment. A real instrument that confirms a serious intention without the serious price tag.

We pick up the piano! That’s it. No selling, no disposal hassle, no one feels bad about it. This is actually one of the best arguments for rental. If a student quits, a rental comes back to us. A purchased piano becomes something the family has to figure out on their own. With rental, there’s less risk for everyone. And less risk means it's easier to sign up for lessons to begin with.

Every piano is built from up to eight kinds of wood, and manufacturing a new one means eight different trees. When a student is done, we don't let that instrument sit in a basement or end up in a landfill. We take it back and restore it. Your student's first piano becomes someone else's first piano.

For sure. We provide reliable delivery from Boston to the Finger Lakes to Washington, D.C. and northern VA, west to Pittsburgh and from Santa Barbara to San Diego, including all cities and towns in between.

Our customers can buy any time. 100% of rental payments during the first twelve months count as credit toward purchase. The purchase price locks in at the start and never goes up. Credit applies to the rented piano or any piano we have of equal or greater value. There’s no deadline, no pressure, and no one’s going to call asking if you’re “ready to buy yet.” Families can rent as long as they like and their monthly price

Every piano in our inventory is a handcrafted acoustic instrument from a recognized manufacturer: Yamaha, Young Chang, Weber and more. We source all our instruments directly so there’s no mystery history to worry about. And all our pianos come with a warranty. We maintain them professionally and tune them on a regular schedule. These aren’t hand-me-down starter instruments. They’re the same pianos you’d see in a showroom.

We buy pianos we want to own forever—so our grandkids can rent them to your grandkids. You can purchase if you want, but that’s not our goal. We just want you to play it, love it, and when you're done, pass it forward so the next family can fall in love with it too. That’s why we only buy quality instruments that will last forever.

We find that the biggest barrier to signing up for lessons isn’t finding a teacher. It’s the piano - the headache of finding one and the expense of buying or moving one. When families can rent for a low monthly cost with no long-term obligation, that problem goes away. You stop losing prospective students to “we need to figure out the piano situation first.” Instead, the piano just shows up, and lessons start on time. One less thing to think about.

The first in-home tuning is always at a discounted rate. After that, we request our renters tune their piano every six months with one of our technicians at a discounted rate (varies by location). It’s not included in the monthly rental price, but it’s handled entirely by us and at a discount. 

We require this to keep our instruments in top shape so your student is getting a great instrument and the student after them does too!

Families don’t need to find a technician or remember to schedule it. We take care of it so the piano always sounds the way it should the first day your student sits down to practice.
