As a professional teacher and musician, you already know the difference a real piano makes. A student who practices on a proper instrument shows up to lessons prepared. Their ear develops. Their technique develops. Their parents notice. They keep coming back.

The problem is getting a piano into their home.

Buying a piano is expensive, complicated, and intimidating for most families. A lot of them never get past the research phase. They buy a cheap keyboard instead, and their kid (your student!) practices on something that doesn’t feel or sound like the instrument you’re teaching them to play. Some families skip having any instrument entirely and hope that weekly lessons will be enough. You know better.

PianoPiano can fix this, and it’s easier (and more fun!) than you think.

What PianoPiano Does for Your Students

We rent acoustic pianos on a month-to-month basis, offering the most flexible and transparent piano rental options for your students, tailored to their needs. Yamaha, Young Chang, Weber and more. Real instruments, professionally maintained. We deliver, we tune, and when they’re done, we pick it up. As your student grows, we even let them exchange whenever they want. The whole thing takes about as much effort as ordering take out.

    For your students, this means:

    • A real piano at home, this week. Not in six months after the family has comparison-shopped themselves into paralysis. We help them find the right instrument at a price that works for their budget, and we handle everything else.
    • No commitment anxiety. If the student stops playing, the piano goes back. No selling on Craigslist, no haggling, no guilt. No 500 pounds of expensive furniture that nobody wants to deal with.
    • Room to grow. Students can switch to a different instrument as they progress. A console becomes a studio upright, an upright becomes a grand. Nobody’s stuck with their first choice.
    • 100% of the first year’s rent goes toward purchase. The price locks in at the start of the rental and never increases. Credit applies to the rented piano or any piano of equal or greater value. If they fall in love with it, they’re already on their way to owning it.
    • No pressure to buy. Ever.  Your student keeps the piano for as long as they want it. Rent forever if they want to, at the price that matches where their budget is. When they don’t want it, we come get it. We handle everything, they pick the day. Simple.

That’s the whole pitch. Rent a real piano, see what happens.

What This Means for Your Teaching

Here’s the part that matters to you.

When getting the piano is easy, a barrier to starting lessons disappears. Parents who were “thinking about it” actually sign up. When a parent contacts you about lessons, you can suggest a piano rental and make it easy for them to start lessons then and there, knowing the right piano will be where they need it on day one.

    PianoPiano - Preferred Partners

Students who take lessons during the school year can keep going through the summer, because the instrument is sitting right there. It’s a virtuous cycle: once they are already taking lessons, having made the financial commitment to keep the piano in the house reinforces their commitment to learning how to play.  With no drop-off, they improve faster and are more likely to stick to the habit.

They'll keep coming back in the fall because they are paying each month for the piano. You don’t lose them to the seasonal dropoff and have to start rebuilding in September.

You can expand your studio without a capital investment. If you run a school and need instruments, rent them. You can grow and shrink however you need.  Business going better than you thought? Buy the pianos and use the first 12 months, then finance at 0% over the next 12 months.

Have a piano without taking a hit to cash flow. That kind of flexibility is hard to get any other way.

You don’t have to be the one navigating the piano conversation with parents, which can be  an awkward spot for a teacher, not to mention taking time away from your own teaching or leisure time. You want your student on a good instrument, but you don’t want to feel like you’re selling them something. We take that off your plate entirely. Send them to PianoPiano and rest assured that our team will help them find a good quality piano that fits their budget. , or better yet, we’ll help you build a page on your own website with your recommended pianos so families can browse and rent directly.

You don’t need to come with them. You don’t need to explain the difference between a b1 and a U1. We can, and we’ve been at this since 1975.

The arrangement is simple: you teach, we handle the piano, and your student gets the instrument they need to actually make progress and stick with their lessons for years to come.

    Why Our Pianos Last

We’re a rental company. We buy high quality pianos we want to own forever—so our grandkids can rent them to your students’ grandkids. You can purchase if you want, but that’s not our goal. That’s why we only buy quality instruments that will last forever.

Piano Rental is The Green Choice

Every piano is built from up to eight kinds of wood, and manufacturing a new one means eight different trees. When a student is done, we don't let that instrument sit in a basement or end up in a landfill. We take it back, restore it, and find it a new home for it. Your student's first piano becomes someone else's first piano. That's how it should work.
