A New York Name With Real History

1800's

Albert Weber founded the company in New York in 1852, and by the 1860s, Weber grands were the instruments of choice for New York's elite musicians. The brand earned medals at World's Fairs in Philadelphia, London, and Paris.

1900's

Young Chang acquired the Weber name in 1986 and kept what mattered: the commitment to a richer, more refined sound. Today's Weber pianos are built alongside Young Chang instruments, sharing the same Delwin Fandrich redesign.

2000's

New plates, string scales, soundboards, and hammer-making processes were introduced in 2008. The difference is intentional. Young Chang asked Fandrich to give each brand its own musical personality, not just slap different names on identical pianos.

New pianos are stiff. They can need up to 4 tunings in the first year just to settle. That's why professional musicians prefer played-in instruments—a piano develops its character over time. You wouldn't run a marathon in brand new shoes. Our rentals are already played in and arrive at your home ready for practice.

In our opinion? This is the best baby grand piano ever made by any manufacturer, ever. Yeah, we said it. The quality is outstanding--this is a piano that will last you 200 years, with proper maintenance. And the sound and feel are extraordinary. Fandrich's floating soundboard design gives surprising bass depth for the size. Sadly production is currently paused on this model, but we have previously rented ones in like-new condition. Also available with a silent system.
